When the water is made free of minerals is called de-mineralized water or also can be called as de-ionized water. There are dissolved salts present in the water which need to be removed hence this water is made to pass through ion exchange resins columns (Cation & Anion). The raw water is first allowed to pass through cat ion resins which convert all ionized salts in to acids further this acidic water is made to pass through anion resin which absorbs acid thus water is rendered as De-mineralized water.
DM plants are widely used for Chemical industries, Beverages, Fertilizers, Pharmaceuticals, Hospitals, Colleges & schools etc.
Our DM plants are easy to install, compact, less space occupying, requiring less maintenance & operating on low running cost.
 
 
WATER DEIONISATION PLANT (TWO BED UNIT)

The Water Free from any mineral is called Deionised, Water (D. M. Water) .

Naturally occuring water has various salts in dilute form which are called dissoved solids. When the water having such minerals is required to be free from this, it is to be treated in lon Exchange Resins column. (Cation and anion). The raw water is passed through the Cation Resins columb (H + Form) which converts all ionised salts to the equivalent acids. Now the acidic water is passed through Anion Resin columb (OH + Form) which absorbs acids and water thus available is Demineralised Water.

When the Resins are exhausted the cation resin columb is regenerated with HCI and Anion Resin columb is by NaOH solution. After regeneration now the plant will be in a position to give D. M. Water up to next regeneration.

 
PORTABLE DEIONISERS :
Cation-Anion columbs (Two Bed) are available in Standard Models capable of producing upto 600 ltr / hr D. M. Water In BT DM-01, BT DM-02, BT DM-03 FRP Construction and in MSRL Construction

Three Bed Units : (D.M. + M.B.)

D.M. Plant installed in series with Mixed Bed Unit (M.B.) the installation becomes a three bed unit. Threse unit can produce Demineralised Water to I.P. specification i.e.

P.H. Value - 6.8 to 7.2
T.D.S - Less than 1 P.P.M.
Conductivity - Less than 1 MS/CM

except that it is not Bacteria & Pyrogen free. M.B. Unit available with single column FRP with Cation & Anion Mixed Resin mounted on M.S. Wheeled frame with inter connecting flexible tubings and P.P. control valve Conductivity Meter (0 to 4) and Regenerate Tank.

Output / Reg. is based on 100 PPM Ionic Load, Quality and quantity depends on raw water quality. Raw water should be colourless, free from turbidity, Oil, Organic Matter. Deionised Water can not be treated as sterlised or nonpyrogenic. DEIONISED WATER CONFIRMS TO IS 1069 / 64 BATTERY WATER GRADE.
